Education: Bachelors in Exercise Physiology; Doctor of Medicine, Florida State University College of Medicine.

After growing up in the Dr. Phillips area, Gary received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University, where he also competed on the track and field team in the decathlon. He graduated from FSU’s College of Medicine’s third class, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the USF-Morton Plant Mease program. Dr. Visser’s passion for athletics inspired him to pursue a fellowship in Sports Medicine. There, he worked closely with the Philadelphia Phillies MLB team, USF athletics, and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. Dr. Visser believes in hearing your personal story to customize recommendations for your unique situation, helping you discover and reach your goals. His professional philosophies integrate nutrition and fitness, preventative medicine with proactive education, and encouraging a balanced life.
